International Payroll Specialist

The job

As our International Payroll Specialist, you ensure accurate payroll processing, maintain compliance with regional employment laws, and provide HR support. You combine a service-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills and will be part of a small but close team that works together to support our business in the best possible way. 

More specifically, your tasks will include:

Payroll Administration, such that:

  • Process and validate monthly payroll for all employees (+- 200) across multiple European countries (NL, BE, FR, AU & DE); 
  • Ensure compliance with local payroll regulations, tax laws and social security requirements;
  • Prepare and distribute pay slips, resolve payroll queries, and handle payroll adjustments;
  • Coordinate with external payroll providers and manage third party payroll systems, time & attendance tool;
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and perform regular audits to ensure accuracy;
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll and HR administration efficiency;
  • Consult with the HR Business partner concerning payroll issues. 

Compliance and Reporting, such that:

  • Stay updated on European labor laws, payroll regulations and social security requirements;
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and other data privacy laws in all HR and payroll processes;
  • Prepare and submit required statutory reports, such as tax fillings and social contributions;
  • Generate and analyze Payroll reports to assist with data driven decision-making, working together closely with the Finance department. 

Employee support, such that:

  • Act as a primary point of contact for payroll related inquiries;
  • Support employees with payroll, benefits and HR policy questions;
  • Collaborate with HR team on initiatives to improve employee experience. 

    Who are you?

    • +3 years of experience in multi country Payroll, or eager to learn more about it;
    • Proficient with payroll software and HRIS systems, experience with ADP (IHCM / Celergo) & Manus is a plus; 
    • Experience with implementing new tools or a system is a plus;  
    • Strong excel skills; 
    • Communication and conflict resolution skills;
    • This role offers a lot of freedom and independence, so a proactive, problem-solving mindset is welcome; 
    • Fluently in Dutch and English both verbal and in written; 
    • And most important, a good dose of 'gezelligheid'.
