International Sales Manager
The job
As a International Sales Manager, you are responsible for driving, managing and growing the business with international external distribution and commercial partners. The role ensures that strategic, financial and commercial objectives are achieved while positioning the O’Neill brand consistently across assigned markets
The role is based in Warmond (nearby Leiden) and is part of our Sales team, you will report into our Director of Sales Wholesale.
Key accountabilities
The International Sales Manager builds strong, results-oriented partnerships, translates market potential into clear revenue plans, and leads partners through structured seasonal and annual targets. More specifically, you will focus on:
1. Partner Management & Development
- Owns the daily business and long-term development of assigned international distributors and external partners.
- Ensures partners fully understand brand strategy, commercial priorities and growth expectations.
- Sets clear KPIs and performance goals for each partner, monitors results and initiates corrective actions when required.
- Builds strong, commercially focused relationships to maintain trust, alignment and sustainable performance.
2. Revenue & Seasonal Planning
- Creates annual and seasonal revenue plans based on market potential, historical data and contractual frameworks.
- Leads the pre-season planning process, including target setting, forecasting, assortment and pricing discussions, and milestone alignment with internal functions.
- Manages and drives all relevant commercial processes across the seasonal calendar.
3. Operational Sales Execution
- Oversees pre-season activities such as budgeting, forecast alignment, assortment review and order intake.
- Steers in-season execution: deliveries, sell-out monitoring, replenishment, promotions and end-of-season stock actions.
- Ensures timely renewal of distributor agreements and full compliance with trade terms.
- Monitors order book, sell-out and budget performance, communicating key insights early and clearly to internal stakeholders.
4. Internal Coordination & Projects
- Acts as the central link between partners and internal teams (Marketing, Product, Operations, Finance, Customer Service).
- Drives cross-functional commercial projects to improve the efficiency and performance of the international sales setup.
- Prepares business cases for partner expansion, new markets or new business models.
Who are you?
- 3–5 years of experience in a comparable international sales or account management role, ideally within sports, fashion, lifestyle or FMCG.
- Proven experience managing distributors or international B2B partners.
- Solid understanding of sales processes, commercial KPIs and partner management.
- Comfortable working with budgets, forecasts and P&L-related topics.
- Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
